In 1969, just at the age of 29, Miguel Villaescusa created the Brand Mister.
He strongly believed in creating a brand that disrupted in the market. He had a very clear conception about the essence of the product he wanted to develop. It would avoid any standard or pre-established pattern.
Despite his young age and with a vast experience in the sector, he had no motivation for the market at that moment.
Back then collections followed pre-established patterns, the use of colors and textures was limited to the basics. So he understood that there existed a unique opportunity for other ways of feeling and understanding fashion products.
Despite the difficulties posed by the cultural characteristics of the period, in his creations he forgets the gender conditioning factors that seem to determine the use of colours, shapes and textures in his footwear. A very elaborate and meticulous work of shoemaking that generates diverse forms, as if it were a painting, striking combinations of colours, applications of various motifs on the leathers used, as well as glossy finishes, a characteristic so intrinsic to the world of expressive luxury articles, all together generate a finished product that resembles a work of art more than the making of a shoe.
It is striking and remarkable to observe how these characteristics that form the essence of the Mister brand have evolved during the different periods of our company’s life, and above all how this commitment to disruption has prevailed in the market until today, a time when the expressive diversity that can be found in fashion items could not be more evident.
